Michael J. Sher, President msher@mragroup.net
 Michael Sher recently joined MRA Group as President, where he assumes responsibility
for all aspects of the company's continued growth and success, and for leading the company through higher levels
of client achievement and satisfaction. As an experienced executive with over 15 years of healthcare management
experience, Mike has demonstrated leadership and strength in the areas of healthcare strategic
planning, real estate facility planning and management/executive stewardship.
Prior to joining MRA, Michael served eight years with Temple University Health System (TUHS) in the capacity
as both Chief of Staff and Vice President of Real Estate and Facilities Management. As Chief of Staff
to the Chairman and CEO, he served as a member of the TUHS Executive Management Team and was directly
involved in the restructuring of the System's clinical facilities, among many responsibilities.
Additionally, as VP for Real Estate and Facilities Management, Michael was responsible for establishing
and staffing corporate services that managed construction, renovation, and facility planning for the $1 billion
health system. Projects included the development of the Health System's new 248,000 square foot corporate office
that supports over 800 corporate employees; master planning for the System's pediatric hospital; a master facility
and campus plan for a TUHS related community hospital; and numerous clinical and diagnostic renovation projects.
His successes also include establishing a real estate services department that supported the health system's
evolving and growing real estate needs, including landlord/tenant relations, propoerty
acquisition/disposition and lease administration requirements.
Prior to joining TUHS, Michael served as Manager for Planning and New Business Development at
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In this capacity, he was involved in the development
of CHOP's strategic plans and the branding and management of its regional inpatient pediatric program
(The CHOP Connection). In addition, Michael was responsible for preparing all market share, utilization
and demographic analyses for strategic business development activities and Certificates of Need.
Michael has earned his Law Degree from Temple University, a Master's of Science in Health Systems
Management from Rush University in Chicago, IL, and a Bachelor's of Science in Health Policy and
Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He has lectured at Temple University's School of Law,
Temple's Fox School of Business, and Penn State's Graduate Program in Health Management and CoreNet (Corporate Real
Estate Executive Network). Michael was previously President of Temple East Real Estate, Inc., a real estate holding company, and was a member of the
Lower Bucks Hospital Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare
Executives and the Society for Healthcare Planning and Marketing.
